Bishkek to host Asian Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships

Bishkek, May 11, 2026. /Kabar/. The 21st Asian Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships among juniors and the 17th Asian Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships among seniors will be held in Bishkek from May 23 to 26. The Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic announced this.

According to the federation, approximately 180 athletes from 18 countries will participate in the competition, including Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, China, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Mongolia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Laos, Tajikistan, and other countries in the region.

Kyrgyzstan will be represented at the Senior Asian Championships by two gymnasts: Zlata Arkatova and Asel Arapova. They will present their routines in four events to the judges: hoop, ball, clubs, and ribbon.

Three gymnasts will also represent the country at the Junior Asian Championships: Sofia Yarovaya (hoop and clubs), Nailya Omurbekova (ball), and Kanykey Stamalieva (ribbon).

Two group exercises teams will also compete at the Asian Championships.
