Bishkek, Sept. 21, 2026 /Kabar/. A delegation from the Ministry of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services of the Kyrgyz Republic, led by Minister Nurdan Oruntaev, participated in international events dedicated to World Cleanup Day 2026, held from September 19 to 21 in the city of Shaoxing, China.
According to the ministry, a bilateral meeting took place during the events between Minister Nurdan Oruntaev and Ni Hong, the Minister of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People's Republic of China. During the meeting, the parties discussed the further development of Kyrgyz-Chinese cooperation in the fields of construction and urban development, as well as preparations for the upcoming China–Central Asia Ministerial Meeting on Construction (2026), scheduled to be held in Bishkek in November 2026.
The parties expressed their readiness to expand cooperation and continue joint work on practical initiatives.
The World Cleanup Day was established by a UN General Assembly resolution and is observed annually on September 20.
