Bishkek, Aug. 19, 2026 /Kabar/. The grand opening of the photo exhibition, "Islamic Architectural Heritage of Hungary," will take place on August 25 at the Abdulkerim Satuk Buurahan Mosque at the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, the Hungarian Embassy in Bishkek reported.

The exhibition includes 28 photographs and paintings with captions in Kyrgyz, Russian, and English. The exhibition presents surviving monuments from the 150-year Ottoman period in Hungary's history—mosques, minarets, türbe tombs, and baths (hamams) in the cities of Pécs, Szigetvár, Eger, Siklós, and Budapest.

The event was organized by the Hungarian Embassy in Kyrgyzstan with the support of the Manas Cultural and Cultural Center. Previously, in January 2025, with the support of the State Commission for Religious Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Embassy presented the exhibition "Islamic Architectural Heritage of Hungary" at the Imam Sarakhsi Central Mosque in Bishkek.
