Bishkek to host Seoul Arts Foundation's theater program

Bishkek, Aug. 13, 2026 /Kabar/. On August 19, Bishkek will host a special theater program, "Theater Rushing Forward," organized as part of an international cultural exchange with the participation of the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture (SFAC). Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy reports.

The event will be held at Satylganov Kyrgyz National Philharmonic and will coincide with the visit of representatives of the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture to Kyrgyzstan as part of the 2026 international cultural exchange program.

The "Theater Rushing Forward" program will introduce Kyrgyz audiences to contemporary theater art in Korea, the work of Korean artists, and current trends in the development of the country's theater culture.

Bishkek will be one of the cities on the program's international tour route, along with Seoul, Tashkent, and Astana.

The Kyrgyz side is also interested in further developing cooperation with the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture, expanding cultural exchange, and strengthening professional ties between artists from the two countries.

The event will take place on August 19 at 7:00 PM. Admission is free.
