The 220 kV Kara-Balta-Glavnaya and Glavnaya-Shu overhead power lines were disconnected.
According to the Kyrgyz Ministry of Energy, the system's automatic load shedding system was triggered as a result. NEGK JSC is currently working to restore power supply.
The cause of the disruption is being investigated.
