Bishkek, July 31, 2026. /Kabar/. Informal consultative meeting of the heads of Central Asia and Azerbaijan is taking place at the state residence in Cholpon-Ata.

The meeting is being attended by President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Meetings in this format are an important platform for developing regional cooperation, ensuring direct dialogue between heads of state, and developing joint solutions.

In 2025, at the 7th Consultative Meeting of the heads of Central Asia held in Tashkent, Azerbaijan was admitted to this format as a full participant. This decision was regarded as an important step towards expanding cooperation between Central Asia and the South Caucasus.

The new expanded format creates additional opportunities for developing trade, economic, investment, transport, and humanitarian ties between the countries.

Azerbaijan's accession to this format opens new opportunities for strengthening ties between Central Asia and the South Caucasus, including the development of transport routes and economic cooperation.

Furthermore, the parties express interest in continuing efforts aimed at strengthening stability, mutual trust, and long-term partnership in the region.
