Bishkek, July 17, 2026 /Kabar/. First Deputy Chairman of State Customs Service Ulan Kimsanov met with General Director of China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway Company LLC, Gong Hongyun in Bishkek.
According to the State Customs Service, the parties discussed improving customs administration and streamlining customs procedures for the movement of goods intended for the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway.
Particular attention was paid to issues arising during customs clearance of goods used for the infrastructure project.
Representatives of State Customs Service provided the necessary clarifications on the current customs clearance procedures, consulted on optimizing customs clearance procedures for goods, and identified responsible officials in territorial customs offices to ensure prompt interaction, the statement says.
The State Customs Service also noted the need to organize a centralized transfer of employees of China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway Company LLC through the Torugart and Irkeshtam checkpoints using licensed transport companies.
It is noted that this measure is aimed at eliminating the use of unlicensed carriers, minimizing risks, and ensuring the safety of personnel when crossing the customs border of the EAEU.
