The effectiveness of mechanisms such as the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyz Development Fund, as well as the Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Fund, created with a neighboring country, is already evident to the entire society. These institutions are laying the foundation for regional integration. Professor and Academician Cholponkul Arabaev expressed this opinion to Kabar news agency.
According to Cholponkul Arabaev, in the context of global changes, the unity of the fraternal peoples of Central Asia is especially important.
"Today, the geopolitical situation on the global stage is changing: some strive for dominance, while others seek ways to preserve their statehood. The modern world once again demonstrates the importance of Central Asia, our historical identity, national values, and the fact that we are fraternal peoples who have lived on this land for many centuries. In these circumstances, the states of Central Asia must jointly determine the direction of their domestic and foreign policies. It is not without reason that the Kyrgyz people say, 'Act together.' Only by uniting will we be able to confront external challenges," the academician said.
In his opinion, the informal consultative meeting of the heads of Central Asian countries and the President of Azerbaijan, taking place in Cholpon-Ata, will become a platform for renewing dialogue with this dynamically developing state in the Caucasus, as well as for further deepening and strengthening cooperation.
"Azerbaijan is a fraternal state with which we share common spiritual values, religion, and history. It is close to all of Central Asia, including Kyrgyzstan. Today, Azerbaijan is developing rapidly and has become one of the strongest nations. "Particularly in recent years, thanks to the country's leadership's sound strategy, our relations with Azerbaijan have reached a new level," Cholponkul Arabaev continued.
The professor cited joint economic projects as tangible evidence of cooperation.
According to the academician, not only Azerbaijan but also many other countries, both near and far, are showing increased interest in Central Asia. This is no coincidence, as the peoples of the region have been able to preserve their traditions, customs, and national identity in the modern world.
"Previously, our region was closed to the outside world, so many people knew little about it. Today, Central Asia is known as a region with a rich ecology, significant water and other natural resources, and high transit potential. "The global community is now eager to see this unique nature and potential with its own eyes," the professor concluded.
He also noted that the summit meeting taking place in Cholpon-Ata was well-organized and fully complies with international standards. He believes the decisions made will make a significant contribution to the region's bright future.
