Bishkek, Nov. 11, 2025 /Kabar/. Meeting of Central Asian agriculture ministers was held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. According to the Kyrgyz Ministry of Agriculture, Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Asel Kenenbaeva participated in the event.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss key issues related to the development of the agro-industrial complex, ensuring food security, and strengthening regional cooperation. During the meeting, the heads of delegations from the countries in the region exchanged experiences in implementing national programs for agricultural development, introducing innovative and digital technologies, and adapting the agricultural sector to climate change. Particular attention was paid to expanding cooperation in trade, science, education, and investment. Kyrgyz side outlined priority areas for the development of the agro-industrial complex and emphasized the importance of regional cooperation in food security and agricultural processing.
Following the meeting, Joint Declaration of the Ministers of Agriculture of Central Asian Countries and a Plan for Ensuring Food Security in Central Asia to 2030 were adopted.
The adoption of these documents marked an important step toward strengthening food security in the region, attracting investment in agriculture, and developing innovative technologies in the agricultural sector.
As part of the event, Asel Kenenbaeva held a separate meeting with the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov. The parties discussed the implementation of the Roadmap for the Further Development of Cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan in Agriculture and Food Security, as well as prospects for joint projects.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to further deepen bilateral cooperation and noted that the effective implementation of the Roadmap's provisions will be an important tool for strengthening mutually beneficial partnership in the agricultural sector between the two countries.
