Central Asia's tallest ferris wheel opened in Bishkek

Bishkek, Sept. 10, 2026 /Kabar/. The grand opening of the "Asman Park" family entertainment center took place in Bishkek, attended by Mayor Aibek Dzhunushaliev.

Jogorku Kenesh deputies Dastan Bekeshev and Gulya Kozhokulova, as well as "Asman Park" center director Aibek Sulaimanbekov, also participated in the celebratory event.

"Today, we are opening another wonderful spot in our capital—Asman Park. An area that had long been neglected is now being transformed into a modern, safe, and comfortable place for recreation," noted Aibek Dzhunushaliev.

The celebratory concert featured performances by local pop stars Bek Borbiev, Aidana Deka, Avaz Akimov, Mirbek Atabekov, Jax, Miya Boyka, and the group Kairos.

Over 1 billion soms in investment went into the project. The renovation introduced modern recreation areas, walking paths, entertainment zones, and futuristic design elements. More than 1,000 young trees and ornamental plants were planted throughout the park.

The centerpiece of Asman Park is the 92-meter "Bishkek Zhyldyzy" (Star of Bishkek) Ferris wheel—the tallest in Central Asia. It offers panoramic views of the mountains surrounding Bishkek.

"May this place always be filled with children's laughter, joy, and good spirits! I congratulate everyone and wish each of you good health, prosperity, and success!" the head of the capital said to the event's attendees.
