Bishkek, Aug. 20, 2026 /Kabar/. China has granted Kyrgyz citizens visa-free entry to Hainan Island for up to 30 days. This was reported by the Kyrgyz Presidential Administration.
It should also be noted that Kyrgyzstanis now have a 10-day visa-free entry to other regions of China.
As Sagynbek Abdumutalip, Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Kyrgyz Presidential Administration, explained, visa-free entry to China for up to 10 days requires only one condition: a plane ticket confirming that the return journey to Kyrgyzstan will pass through a third country.
"If a Kyrgyz citizen wishes to visit Beijing, Shanghai, or another Chinese city visa-free, they simply need to purchase a direct plane ticket to the chosen city and a return ticket to Kyrgyzstan with a route through one of the third countries."
"Thanks to this new regulation, Kyrgyz citizens will no longer have to pay visa fees, collect visa documents, or waste time visiting the consulate.
It is worth noting that China is introducing the 10-day visa-free regime unilaterally. The conditions for Chinese citizens entering Kyrgyzstan remain the same; they still require a visa," the statement reads.
