Bishkek, Feb. 6, 2025 /Kabar/. As part of the state visit of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov to China, a consultative meeting of Kyrgyz business representatives with Chinese business circles was held.
The meeting, organized in Beijing, became an important platform for discussing prospects and new opportunities for investment cooperation, as well as issues of developing joint projects.
Particular attention was paid to the project for the construction of a Kyrgyz-Chinese demonstration park for modern agricultural industry.
An additional protocol was signed between the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic and Hebei Bai Dou Jia LLC, increasing the investment amount in the project from $260 million to $410 million. This project provides for the construction of a plant for the production of mineral fertilizers, which will be an important step for the development of agriculture in Kyrgyzstan.
Since 2017, the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic has been negotiating with Chinese partners on the construction of a plant for the production of mineral fertilizers. In 2019, within the framework of the Kyrgyz-Chinese Business Forum in Bishkek, a Memorandum on the construction of a plant was signed with the Chinese company Hebei Bai Dou Jia, and in May 2023, during the state visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic to China, an Investment Agreement was signed in the amount of 260 million US dollars.
In addition, within the framework of the project "Green Industrial Park "One Belt, One Road" in Kyrgyzstan" between Kyrgyz Agroholding OJSC and China Railway Express Silk Road International (Shaanxi) Operation Co., Ltd. an agreement was signed in the amount of 1 billion yuan, as well as an agreement with Changshu Silk Road Import Export Trade Co., Ltd. in the amount of 1 million US dollars.
The sides expressed confidence that the reached agreements will become the key to a successful and long-term partnership that will bring mutual benefit to the peoples of Kyrgyzstan and China.
