Bishkek, July 1, 2026 /Kabar/. On June 30, a delegation of doctors from the No. 4 People's Hospital of Xi'an (China) arrived at the Osh Interregional United Clinical Hospital.
The delegation included Qing Zhang, vice president of the hospital; Hong Yang, head of the eye microsurgery department; Gujun Wu, head of urology department; and Bilian Chen, head of maternity hospital.
Almaz Zhumaliev, Director of Osh Interregional United Clinical Hospital met with Chinese specialists. He briefed the guests on the medical facility's operations and provided a detailed description of its structure and departmental activities.
During the meeting, the parties signed bilateral cooperation agreements. These agreements provide for the dispatch of Kyrgyz doctors to the Fourth People's Hospital of Xi'an for advanced training and exchange of experience, as well as the performance of joint free surgeries on patients at the Osh hospital with the participation of Chinese specialists.
The training of Kyrgyz doctors in China, as well as travel, accommodation, and food expenses, will be fully funded by the Chinese side.
Chinese doctors will be at the Osh Interregional United Clinical Hospital for a three-day working visit.
As a reminder, in 2025, six doctors from the Osh Interregional United Clinical Hospital completed a month-long training course at the Fourth People's Hospital of Xi'an and returned after sharing their experiences.
