Issyk-Kul, Sept. 1, 2026 /Kabar/. The opening of the International Ethnic Song Festival "Kochmöndör zhanyrygy" (Nomads Voice) took place at the Cholpon-Ata Hippodrome.
From September 1 to 4, Cholpon-Ata will be one of the main cultural and musical venues for the Games. Talented performers from around the world will perform on one stage, presenting the musical heritage and national traditions of their peoples.
Representatives from 20 countries across four continents are participating in the festival. The competition program includes 21 participants and 42 performances. Artists from Europe, Asia, America, and Africa will showcase the national flavor and distinctive sounds of their countries.
September 2nd — Ethno Hit Day. Works reflecting the national heritage, traditions, and musical cultures of different nations will be performed on stage.
September 3rd — World Hit Day. Famous world compositions will be given a new sound through national musical interpretations. Nomadic culture will be presented through a contemporary musical language.
September 4th — Grand Finale. On the final day, the best participants in the competition will be determined, the winners will be announced, and the awards will be presented.
The festival will conclude with a grand concert featuring stars of the Kyrgyz and international music scene.
