Bishkek, July 24, 2026. /Kabar/. The main stage of preparations for the SCO summit has been completed. Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev announced to media representatives in Cholpon-Ata.

According to him, this meeting of ministers marked the final stage of preparations for the SCO summit, which will be held in Bishkek. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and the organization has evolved from a regional initiative to one of the world's largest international associations.

"Over the past quarter century, the SCO has become an important international organization, uniting a significant portion of the world's population and possessing enormous economic and cultural potential.

" The meeting included an exchange of views on security, trade and economic ties, transport and logistics cooperation, energy, digital development, and cultural and humanitarian issues.

Today, the world is experiencing a difficult period, with increasing geopolitical tensions and emerging new security challenges. In these circumstances, it is crucial to intensify the joint efforts of SCO states.

A high-level meeting in the "SCO+" format will be held as part of the summit in Bishkek. This will open new opportunities for expanding cooperation with interested SCO partners.

It is also necessary to strengthen joint efforts to combat threats such as terrorism, extremism, transnational crime, drug trafficking, and cybercrime. "Furthermore, the initiative to establish the SCO Development Bank could become an important financial mechanism aimed at supporting joint investment, infrastructure, and transport projects.

Bishkek Summit will adopt the Bishkek Declaration, marking the SCO's 25th anniversary, and a number of documents aimed at further developing the organization," concluded Jeenbek Kulubaev.
