Bishkek, Oct. 7, 2026. /Kabar/. The Orion-Grand carpet production plant was launched in Chui region. Ministry of Economy and Commerce reports.
According to the ministry, the plant will manufacture carpeting for homes, hotels, offices, and shopping centers. The total funding amounted to $3.216 million, with $1 million provided by the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyz Development Fund.
The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Mederbek Tumanov.
The launch of the facility will create 36 new jobs.
"Local production will help accelerate deliveries, reduce logistics costs, and offer products at competitive prices. In the future, it will also open up opportunities to enter the markets of neighboring countries," the statement says.
