CIS and SCO military prosecutors develop common approaches to security

Bishkek, Oct. 5, 2026 /Kabar/. Meetings of chief military prosecutors and heads of military-legal agencies from CIS and SCO member states took place in Kazan. According to the Prosecutor General's Office, the events were held on the sidelines of the Coordination Council meetings.

Kyrgyzstan was represented by Deputy Prosecutor General and Military Prosecutor Kumarbek Baidyldaev.

Participants discussed strengthening cooperation regarding oversight of border security, preventing offenses in border areas, and combating smuggling, the illicit trafficking of weapons and drugs, and violations of migration regulations.

Particular attention was paid to exchanging professional experience and developing coordinated approaches to ensuring the rule of law and security.

A joint statement was adopted following the meeting of CIS representatives. The outcomes of the meeting involving chief military prosecutors and heads of military-legal agencies from SCO member states were formalized in a protocol.

Kumarbek Baidyldaev also held bilateral meetings with Russia’s Deputy Prosecutor General and Chief Military Prosecutor Valery Petrov, as well as with the Military Prosecutor of the People's Liberation Army of China, Sun Xiujun.

The parties exchanged views on strengthening cooperation between military prosecutor's offices, sharing experience, and developing professional contacts.
