Bishkek, Feb. 6, 2026 /Kabar/. The opening ceremony for clean water supply system was held today in Toru-Aigyr village, Issyk-Kul oblast, according to the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry.

According to the ministry, the event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev, Issyk-Kul oblast governor Bakytbek Zhetigenov, and others.

Bakyt Torobaev noted that providing the population with clean drinking water is a priority area of ​​state policy and directly impacts public health and the sustainable development of rural areas.

The envoy also emphasized that the implementation of this project will significantly improve the region's social infrastructure and the quality of life of rural residents.

In turn, district head Japarbek Ormonov noted that the launch of the water supply system has resolved one of the village's most pressing problems and expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to the project.

"Reconstruction of the Toru-Aigyr Village Water Supply System (LOT-1)" project was completed at a cost of 62,080,254 soms.

The total length of water supply networks is 15,104 meters.

Drinking water tanks with a capacity of 300 m³ – 2 units.

Fire hydrants – 12 units.

Water meters – 600 units.

Bactericidal installation building has been constructed. External electrical networks and on-site water supply networks have been installed.
