Bishkek, March 27, 2026. /Kabar/. Today, the VI meeting of the heads of railway administrations of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states was held in Bishkek, chaired by state enterprise "Kyrgyz Temir Zholu".
As reported by the department, the event was attended by heads and representatives of the railway administrations of Belarus, India, Iran, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, China, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of the SCO Secretariat and the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan.
During the meeting, they discuss the implementation of the decisions taken at the 5th meeting of the heads of the railway administrations of the SCO member states, interaction on the modernization of existing railway infrastructure facilities and the construction of new facilities, improving the quality and sustainability of international railway transportation, training and upgrading of personnel, exchange of experience, as well as other relevant issues.
It should be noted that the 6th meeting plays an important role in strengthening international cooperation between the member states of the organization, developing transport dialogue, as well as expanding the exchange of professional experience and coordination in the railway sector.
As a result of the meeting, a number of decisions were adopted aimed at developing cooperation in the railway sector and increasing the efficiency of international transportation.
