Bishkek, May 20, 2026 /Kabar/. The official opening ceremony of the Days of Tajik Culture in Kyrgyzstan took place on May 19 in Bishkek, the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
According to the ministry, the event was aimed at strengthening cultural cooperation between the two countries and developing friendly ties between the peoples. The celebration was attended by the Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan, Mirbek Mambetaliev; Minister of Culture of Tajikistan, Matlubakhon Sattoriyon Amonzoda; creative delegations, cultural representatives, and city residents.
During the opening ceremony, Mirbek Mambetaliev noted that Kyrgyz-Tajik cultural ties have reached a new level in recent years. He emphasized that joint cooperation in theater, music, cinema, and literature will continue to strengthen with the support of the two heads of state.
The concert program opened with the composition "Triumph of Friendship," after which the audience was treated to the finest examples of Tajik national and classical art. The evening featured performances by renowned Tajik singers, musicians, and the dance ensembles "Lola" and "Parastu."
The Days of Tajikistan Culture events will continue until May 21. The program includes exhibitions, meetings, and cultural events.
