Bishkek, July 28, 2026 /Kabar/. On July 27, the opening ceremony of the Days of Culture of Uzbekistan in Kyrgyzstan took place at the Rukh Ordo cultural center in Cholpon-Ata. The event brought together government representatives, cultural figures, creative groups and residents of Issyk-Kul region, reports the Ministry of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of Kyrgyz Republic.
The Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan Mirbek Mambetaliev and the Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan Ozodbek Nazarbekov made welcoming speeches. They emphasized that holding Culture Days would be an important step in strengthening Kyrgyz-Uzbek friendship, expanding cultural and humanitarian cooperation and developing creative ties between the two countries.
The ceremony was also attended by official delegations of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, representatives of the creative intelligentsia and guests of the region.
The concert program was presented by famous artists of Uzbekistan, including people's artists Farrukh Zakirov, Kamoliddin Urinbaev, Aigul Nadirova and Zulaiho Boykhonova. The dance ensembles “Navbakhor” and “Tumor” also performed for the audience, and the State Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan performed works dedicated to the centuries-old friendship and cultural closeness of the Kyrgyz and Uzbek peoples.
The Days of Culture of Uzbekistan are aimed at strengthening cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries, developing creative interaction and introducing the rich cultural heritage of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
The program of events will end on July 28 with a gala concert at the Dordoi Nomad arena in Bosteri village.
