Bishkek, Sept. 4, 2026. /Kabar/. On September 3-5, an ethno-exhibition and a fair of craftsmen are being held at the "Dordoi-Nomad" complex in Issyk-Kul, as part of the VI World Nomad Games.
According to the Ministry of Culture, Information and Youth Policy, along with Kyrgyz nationals, foreign craftsmen and artists are participating in the event and presenting their works. According to the organizers, the main goal is to widely popularize the traditional crafts, national culture and creativity of the Kyrgyz people, as well as to create conditions for the exchange of experience at the international level.
A number of interesting master classes have been organized for guests as part of the exhibition and fair.
Among them are:
- weaving;
- making horse harnesses;
- artistic engraving on iron (chikanka);
- ceramics;
- practical lessons in the art of painting on water.
VI World Nomad Games will be held in Kyrgyzstan from August 31 to September 6, 2026. The opening ceremony took place on August 31 at the Bishkek Arena stadium in the capital. The games will be held in Issyk-Kul region from September 1 to September 6, and more than 3,000 athletes from 109 countries will participate.
