Bishkek, Dec. 17, 2025. /Kabar/. Minister of Transport and Communications Absattar Syrgabayev met with the Head of the European Union Delegation to Kyrgyzstan, Remi Duflo.
As reported by the department, during the meeting, Minister Absattar Syrgabayev expressed confidence that cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the European Union in the transport sector will continue to strengthen.
He noted that the agreement on a grant and technical assistance of 15 million euros, signed between the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Union within the framework of the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor and Interconnection Forum held in Tashkent on November 28 of this year, is of particular importance in the successful implementation of the Kara-Balta - Chaldybar highway reconstruction project.
In addition, at the meeting, the Minister proposed cooperation with the European Union in digitizing transport processes, introducing modern technical and environmental standards, reducing logistics and transport costs, and increasing cargo turnover between the countries.
The parties expressed their readiness to further develop cooperation.
