Bishkek, Aug. 10, 2026 /Kabar/. The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), the Central Depository, and the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF) signed a technical assistance agreement aimed at modernizing the accounting system of the Central Depository, a key institution ensuring the recording of securities rights and the reliability of the capital market settlement infrastructure.
The project opens a new stage in the modernization of Kyrgyzstan's stock market infrastructure. EDB and RKDF upgraded IT infrastructure of the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange.
The need for modernization is driven by the ongoing stock market reform in Kyrgyzstan. Updating the Central Depository's accounting system and IT infrastructure will support electronic document flow between all professional securities market participants, and data on securities transactions will be reflected in real time.
The project also includes integration of the depository system with the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange and other accounting platforms, improvement of business processes and the regulatory framework, advanced training for specialists, and technical and legal support for the project.
Anarkan Nogoibaeva, CEO of Central Depository CJSC, noted that the modernization will create the foundation for the further development of the stock market. "This is a strategic project for the Central Depository. It will enable us to reach a new level of digitalization, automate key processes, ensure real-time information exchange, and improve the quality of services for all securities market participants," she said.
Alexey Skatin, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of EDB, emphasized the importance of creating user-friendly services that facilitate interaction between the stock market and the business community. "The development of a modern financial infrastructure is essential for the formation of an effective capital market. Modernizing the Central Depository will improve the reliability and speed of securities transactions, expand opportunities for digital interaction between market participants, and create a technological foundation for the further development of the financial sector," he noted.
