Bishkek, October 16, 2026 /Kabar/. The "Entrepreneurship Development Fund" Open Joint-Stock Company (OJSC) has been officially transformed into a microfinance company. Consequently, the maximum loan amount available to entrepreneurs will increase from 5 million to 9 million soms.

According to the organization, following its state re-registration, the company will continue its operations under the name "Entrepreneurship Development Fund" Microfinance Company (MFC) OJSC.

This new status will enable the expansion of financial support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), an increase in lending volumes, and the introduction of new financial instruments.

"While we were previously able to provide entrepreneurs with loans of up to 5 million soms, this limit has now been raised to 9 million. These additional funds will allow our entrepreneurs to purchase modern equipment, expand production capacities, implement innovative solutions, and create new jobs. Our goal is to ensure that state support is not only accessible but also truly impactful for business development," the statement says.

Furthermore, this new status establishes the legal framework for accepting deposits, subject to obtaining the appropriate license from the National Bank. In the future, this will allow the company to diversify its funding sources and increase the resources available for lending to entrepreneurs.
