Bishkek, April 21, 2026. /Kabar/. From April 20 to 26, Kyrgyzstan is holding European Immunization Week, organized by World Health Organization, Gulbara Ishenapysova, Deputy Minister of Health and Chief Sanitary Doctor of the Kyrgyz Republic, at press conference at the Kabar news agency.
"This year, the republic, along with other countries in the WHO European Region, is celebrating the 20th anniversary of this initiative, which is held under the slogan 'Vaccines Work for Every Generation.' This campaign aims to raise public awareness of the importance of vaccination to protect the health of people of all ages, from the first weeks of life to old age," emphasized the Deputy Minister of Health.
At the same time, Ana Dautović, UNICEF Deputy Representative in Kyrgyzstan, noted that vaccination remains the most effective way to strengthen herd immunity and ensure the long-term well-being of the nation.
"As you know, vaccines are one of the safest and most effective ways to maintain public health in the history of invention, preventing various diseases and improving the quality of life not only of children but of an entire generation," said Ana Dautović.
