In the context of the rapid development of artificial intelligence and the emergence of new global challenges, not only the analysis of past events but also the ability to predict future processes is becoming especially relevant. This opinion was expressed by TASS Deputy Director General Marat Abulkhatin to Kabar.
According to the expert, meetings of this format are important because they facilitate the exchange of experience and the development of joint approaches to addressing pressing issues.
"Today, it is important not simply to analyze what has already happened, but to forecast events, facts, and phenomena. As the saying goes, forewarned is forearmed. This forecasting work will be particularly in demand by the political elites of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member countries," he noted.
The expert emphasized that to develop this area, it is necessary to strengthen cooperation between SCO member states and pay special attention to the training of young specialists. He believes that countries should establish an exchange of experience in personnel training and develop common standards for analytical and forecasting activities.
As a reminder, the SCO member states' media and analytical center forum is taking place in Bishkek today for the first time. The event is being organized by the Kyrgyz National News Agency "Kabar" and the Chinese News Agency "Xinhua."
Around 250 representatives from 26 countries are participating in the event, including heads of leading news agencies, media representatives, think tanks, research institutes, government agencies, and international organizations.
The forum's theme is "The SCO in a New Era: From Mutual Understanding to Practical Cooperation." During plenary sessions and thematic sessions, participants will discuss the development of international information cooperation, the digital transformation of the media environment, humanitarian interaction, and contemporary challenges in the global information space.
