Issyk-Kul, July 30, 2026. /Kabar/. From July 31 to August 2, Issyk-Kul lake will host the first Formula 1 Powerboating World Championship (F1H2O) stage in Central Asia.
According to Eduard Kubatov, Director of the State Agency for Tourism Development of Kyrgyz Republic, the infrastructure for the competition is fully prepared. Within two months, agency created international event zone designed for 10,000 and provided all the necessary technical conditions for hosting a world-class competition.

"This is a historic event not only for Kyrgyzstan and Issyk-Kul, but for all of Central Asia. For the first time, F1H2O is being held in our region," said Kubatov.
About 20 international teams and the world's best pilots are expected to participate. According Kubatov, representatives from more than 30 countries will attend the competition, and the total number of guests could reach up to 25,000. Due to high demand, the organizers are considering increasing the number of spectator seats.
Kubatov also noted that the organizers are paying special attention to environmental issues. Air, water, and coastal zone conditions will be tested before and after the competition. He added that the results will be made publicly available.
The final races and the announcement of the winner will take place on August 2.
