Bishkek, Dec. 9, 2025. /Kabar/. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Kyrgyzstan has delivered drip irrigation materials for the nurseries of the Kyrgyz experimental breeding station under the Kyrgyz Agricultural Research Institute.
According to the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry, this includes a drip irrigation system for 5 hectares and three cisterns with capacity of 5 tons each. The equipment was provided within the framework of the project "Small Farmers as Innovators of Sustainable Ecosystems of Agricultural Products".
The project is aimed at improving access to resources, modern technologies and knowledge for family farms specializing in vegetable and fruit growing.
The installation of the drip irrigation system will be carried out in the spring of next year, before the growing season.
