FMs of Kyrgyzstan and Cyprus to meet on sidelines of UN General Assembly

Bishkek, Sept. 8, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev and Cypriot Foreign Minister Konstantinos Kombos agreed to meet on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York to discuss current issues of Kyrgyz-Cypriot cooperation.

According to the Foreign Ministry, the telephone conversation between the two ministers took place on September 7 at the initiative of the Cypriot side.

During the conversation, Konstantinos Kombos congratulated Jeenbek Kulubaev on Kyrgyzstan's Independence Day and wished the country prosperity.

The parties also confirmed their readiness to further strengthen relations and expand mutually beneficial cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Cyprus.
