Bishkek, Aug. 11, 2026. /Kabar/. Four artisans from Kyrgyzstan successfully completed a three-month residency program in South Korea and completed an exchange course.
According to the Ministry of Culture, Information and Youth Policy, the program was organized as part of the joint project of Kyrgyzstan and South Korea on the development of cultural tourism for 2023-2026.
Participants attended master classes, seminars and training events in Cheongju and other cities, learned new methods of traditional and modern crafts. They also visited museums, craft centers and cultural institutions to exchange experiences.
At the end of the residency, each artisan presented his own work, prepared using the knowledge gained during the program. The works focused on combining the traditional Kyrgyz craft heritage with modern creative methods.
