Government allocates 41 billion soms for agriculture of Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Feb. 9, 2026. /Kabar/. 41 billion soms will be allocated from the budget for the agricultural sector in 2026, Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev announced this.

According to him, the bulk of the 41 billion soms will be spent on capital repairs: 10 billion soms will be allocated for irrigation, 3 billion soms for clean water supply.

8.3 billion soms are allocated for six financing programs implemented through "Aiyl Bank" and "Eldik Bank".

"Today, 483 large and medium-sized processing enterprises, 40 logistics centers, 15 thousand small enterprises, 269 vegetable storage facilities and 119 slaughterhouses operate in the country. It is planned to open 385 new processing enterprises by 2030, which will increase the share of processing from 7 percent to 25 percent. And in 2026, 75 processing enterprises are planned to be put into operation," the minister said.
