Bishkek, April 21, 2026. /Kabar/. Vaccination has saved 154 million lives worldwide, Hans Kluge, WHO Regional Director for Europe, announced at press conference in Kabar news agency.
According to him, these figures are confirmed by expert assessments conducted over the past decades, beginning in 1974. The director also praised Kyrgyzstan's success in strengthening the national healthcare system.
"This leaves no doubt that vaccines work and save lives." In particular, Kyrgyzstan is demonstrating steady and encouraging progress in strengthening its immunization system. We are already seeing clear signs of recovery and positive impact," noted Hans Kluge.
