Bishkek, March 10, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Minister of Health Damir Osmonov visited the Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship Hospital named after Recep Tayyip Erdogan, where he learned about the organization of medical care, the work of clinical departments, and the development of high-tech treatment areas.

According to Ministry of health, during the visit, the ministry's leadership was briefed on the medical facility's operations, including the electronic medical data management system used at the hospital. The system is used to maintain medical records, track prescriptions and medications, and coordinate treatment processes within the facility, allowing doctors to quickly obtain necessary patient information.

The minister also visited several clinical departments, including the cardiology service and the angiography operating room, where modern diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are performed.

Special attention was paid to the development of the organ transplant program. According to the hospital's management, the kidney transplant program has been implemented since 2023 with the participation of Turkish specialists. During this period, patient selection has been completed and the practical implementation of surgeries has begun. To date, 16 patients have undergone kidney transplants.

The medical facility continues to prepare patients for future surgeries. A group of patients is currently being formed to undergo the necessary medical examination and preparatory procedures before the transplant. After the surgery, patients are provided with follow-up medical care and rehabilitation.

During the meeting, issues of further development of the transplant service, organization of patient selection and planning of subsequent operations were also discussed.
