Bishkek, Nov.21, 2025. /Kabar/. 15 catheterization laboratories (cathlabs) will be opened in the country as part of the "Healthy Heart" national program, Minister of Health Erkin Checheibaev told Kabar.

According to the minister, patients will be given coronary angiography there, if necessary, stents will be installed free of charge. This will be financed by the state.

"Now there are cathlabs in Bishkek, Osh, and Jalal-Abad. This year, they will be put into operation in Balykchy, Talas, and Naryn. Repairs in the buildings have been completed, and now the equipment will be installed. In total, we will open 15 cathlab centers by 2030," he said.

According to Erkin Checheibaev, now patients do not have to come to Bishkek, and can have stents installed in regional and city hospitals in their area of ​​​​residence. "In this case, many patients will not die from a heart attack and will have the opportunity to live a full life," the minister said.
