Bishkek, July 30, 2026 /Kabar/. Representatives of the State Agency of Civil Aviation and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) held a meeting in Bishkek yesterday. The meeting discussed the current state of Kyrgyzstan's aviation industry and prospects for further cooperation.
According to the relevant agency, the meeting focused on developing a long-term strategy for the development of the aviation industry, expanding the international route network, developing airport infrastructure, improving ground handling, implementing international standards and digital solutions, as well as certification and professional development for aviation industry specialists.
IATA representatives noted the positive changes in Kyrgyzstan's civil aviation and reaffirmed their readiness to provide expert and advisory support in implementing priority development areas for the industry.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their interest in further expanding cooperation, sharing international experience, and implementing joint initiatives aimed at the sustainable development of Kyrgyzstan's civil aviation.
