Bishkek, Feb. 24, 2026 /Kabar/. The government is taking measures to minimize the impact of European Union sanctions against a number of Kyrgyz banks. Azat Kozubekov, Deputy Chairman of the National Bank, announced this at press conference.
"Cabinet of Ministers and National Bank are working systematically and consistently in this area, as far as possible. All measures taken by government agencies minimize the negative impact of such sanctions packages," he said.
Kozubekov also added that other countries in the region are facing sanctions.
