Bishkek, Jan.27, 2025. /Kabar/. The final meeting of the Board of the Bishkek Mayor’s Office “On the results of socio-economic development of Bishkek for 2024 and tasks for 2025” chaired by Head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev took place in the capital.
First Deputy Mayor of Bishkek Mirlanbek Baigonchokov spoke about the results of socio-economic development of the capital for 2024.
Thus, in 2024, economic growth was provided by almost all sectors of the economy. In January-December 2024, enterprises of Bishkek produced industrial products worth 88.8 KGS billion, which is KGS 20.6 billion more compared to 2023. The share of Bishkek city in the volume of industrial production of the republic in 2024 increased by 1.1% and amounted to 15.2% (in the same period of 2023 - 14.1%).
In honor of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Oblast, work was carried out in 2024 to open industrial enterprises in the Kyrgyz Republic. Within the framework of implementation of the “100 Industrial Enterprises-2024” project, 12 enterprises were modernized and launched in Bishkek city.
Two large industrial enterprises were opened in the capital - TNK Shumkar OJSC, the largest plant for assembly of heavy trucks and special purpose vehicles of SHACMAN series, which meets all international requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union and the World Trade Organization, and Snack Foods LLC, one of the largest snack production enterprises in Central Asia.
