Bishkek, July 30, 2026 /Kabar/. The international traveling plein-air "Sunny Palette of the East" was held in Issyk-Kul region from July 17 to 24, bringing together artists, teachers, and students from leading art schools in Kyrgyzstan and abroad.
The event aimed to develop international cultural cooperation, strengthen creative ties, exchange professional experiences, and promote Kyrgyzstan's natural, historical, and cultural heritage through the visual arts.
For a week, participants worked in picturesque natural locations and historical sites in the Issyk-Kul region, learning about the culture of the Kyrgyz people and the legacy of their nomadic civilization. The plein air resulted in the creation of over 400 works of art, reflecting the natural beauty of Kyrgyzstan, its historical monuments, and its national character.
In addition to creative work, the program included lectures, presentations from art schools, creative meetings, and professional discussions.
Artists from Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Belarus, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan participated in the plein-air.
According to the culture ministry, the international plein-air "Sunny Palette of the East" has become an important platform for developing creative collaboration, exchanging experiences between artists, and promoting Kyrgyzstan's cultural heritage internationally.
