Bishkek, Sept. 7, 2026 /Kabar/. A cooperation agreement was signed between the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in Issyk-Kul Region and the Government of the Altai Republic of the Russian Federation.
According to the Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in Issyk-Kul Region, the document aims to develop ties between the regions in trade, economic, scientific, technical, and socio-cultural spheres.
The agreement was signed by Bakytbek Zhetigenov, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in Issyk-Kul Region, and Ezher Malchinov, First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Altai Republic.
The parties intend to strengthen business contacts, exchange delegations and specialists, facilitate the implementation of joint projects, and expand cooperation in education, culture, healthcare, sports, and tourism.
As part of the further development of interregional ties, the cities of Karakol and Gorno-Altaisk also signed a separate cooperation agreement. The document was signed by Karakol Deputy Mayor Tagai Abdysatarov and Gorno-Altaisk Mayor Olga Safronova.
This inter-municipal partnership will allow the cities to exchange experiences, develop cultural and humanitarian ties, and implement joint initiatives.
Thus, the agreements reached lay the foundation for further strengthening the partnership between the Issyk-Kul Region and the Altai Republic, both at the regional level and directly between the cities.
