Bishkek, July 15, 2026. /Kabar/. During a working visit to the Issyk-Kul region, First Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Tariel Zhanibekov inspected the progress of road construction and reconstruction and issued a number of instructions to improve the quality and speed of work.
During his visit, Zhanibekov inspected the construction of the bypass road in Cholpon-Ata, the access roads to the Altyn-Bulak, Chaika, and Azerbaijan boarding houses, and the reconstruction of the 0-141 km section of the Balykchy-Bokonbaevo-Karakol highway.
Furthermore, the First Deputy Minister visited the Cholpon-Ata hippodrome, which is undergoing major renovations, and inspected the progress of construction work.
Following the inspection, Zhanibekov instructed the responsible officials to strengthen construction quality control, adhere to established project deadlines, and ensure the efficient use of specialized equipment.
The ministry reported that the access road to the Chaika boarding house has been completely paved. Work is currently underway to construct the shoulders, and road markings are planned to be applied within the next five days, after which the facility will be fully operational.
Asphalt paving has also been completed on the road to the Altyn-Bulak Guesthouse, where shoulder improvements are ongoing.
Excavation work is currently underway on the access road to the Azerbaijan Guesthouse. Asphalt paving is planned to begin soon, and the project is expected to be completed within the established timeframe.
The ministry noted that road repair and reconstruction work across the country is continuing according to the approved plan, and the implementation of strategically important road projects is under constant review by the ministry.
