Bishkek, July 29, 2026 /Kabar/. The 3rd Forum of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan will be held in Issyk-Kul Region today, July 29.
The event will discuss topic on "Strategic partnership of universities of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan: Innovative models of cooperation, academic integration, and new opportunities for the development of higher education, science, and innovation."
The forum is being held in preparation for the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan. The event will be attended by heads of higher education institutions from both countries, representatives of government agencies, and representatives of the scientific and academic communities.
The forum will include a plenary session, the signing of memorandums and cooperation agreements between higher education institutions of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, a student startup exhibition, and panel sessions devoted to the integration of education, science, and business, academic mobility, the implementation of joint educational programs, and the development of scientific research.
The science ministry emphasized that the forum will serve as an important platform for strengthening the strategic partnership between universities in Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, expanding international academic cooperation, and implementing joint initiatives in higher education, science, and innovation.
