Bishkek, Oct. 8, 2026 /Kabar/. The play "Jamilia," performed by the Baken Kydykeeva Kyrgyz State Theater for Young Spectators, took second place at the "TeatrALL" international theater festival held in Astana.
According to the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy, the production by director Ulanmyrza Karypbaev won second place in the "Best Acting Ensemble" category and a cash prize of 800,000 tenge.
This year, 16 productions from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Russia participated in the festival, showcasing works by theater troupes from these countries to the audience.
