Bishkek, Jan. 22, 2026. /Kabar/. At session of the Jogorku Kenesh, deputies reviewed and adopted the draft law "on Occupational Safety and Health" in the first reading.
According to Kamchybek Dosmatov, Deputy Minister of Labor, Social Security, and Migration, the bill aims to create healthy and safe working conditions for workers, prevent industrial accidents and occupational diseases, and improve the effectiveness of the occupational safety and health system at the enterprise and national levels, with the aim of further improving the law.
The draft law establishes a legal basis for effective monitoring of compliance with occupational safety regulations and standards and creates conditions for increasing employer accountability for working conditions.
