Kazakhstan to continue its course of strengthening partnership with Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Aug. 26, 2026. /Kabar/. Kazakhstan intends to strengthen economic and investment cooperation with Kyrgyzstan, as well as expand interaction in education and science. Newly appointed Kazakh Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Abylkair Skakov told journalists after the presentation of his credentials at Yntymak Ordo.

According to him, the relations between the two countries have a deep historical foundation, based on shared traditions, cultural and humanitarian ties, and a common border.

"During our conversation with President Sadyr Zhaparov, we confirmed our intention to continue the course of continuity." "My mission will be aimed at strengthening all previously reached bilateral agreements," said Abylkair Skakov.

The ambassador noted that during his tenure, special attention will be paid to practical areas of cooperation, including economics, investment, education, and science.

"In particular, we intend to deepen economic diplomacy and investment cooperation, as well as expand interaction in education and science. We will continue the work across a wide range of bilateral partnerships," the ambassador noted.

Furthermore, according to the head of the diplomatic mission, close ties remain between the peoples of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, where citizens of the two countries travel freely and actively interact.
