Bishkek, Oct. 17, 2025 /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Minister of Economy and Commerce Bakyt Sydykov met with President of the South Korean KT&G Corporation Ban Kyung-man.
According to the department, during the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of expanding KT&G's investments in Kyrgyzstan, including high-tech projects in the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and real estate sectors. According to the minister, Kyrgyzstan is rich in natural resources, including medicinal herbs and unique products such as white honey, which create competitive advantages for production in this sector and demonstrate sustainable growth in the construction industry. In this regard, the minister invited the South Korean company to consider the possibility of investing in the country's pharmaceutical sector by building a production facility.
In turn, Ban Kyung-man expressed interest in further expanding KT&G's activities in Kyrgyzstan. The parties expressed confidence that this meeting will be a new stage in the development of cooperation between the two countries, contributing to the implementation of joint investment projects and strengthening socio-economic cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Korea.
