Meat exports currently banned in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Jan. 26, 2026. /Kabar/. At meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz Parliament) Committee on agrarian policy, water resources, subsoil use, ecology, and environmental protection, Member of parliament (MP) Alisher Kozuyev inquired about the status of meat exports from Kyrgyzstan.

Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Zhanybek Kerimaliev responded that meat exports are currently banned in Kyrgyzstan.

MP noted that, according to his information, meat exports are carried out by the company "Agroholding."

The deputy minister responded that, according to the decree, "Agroholding" is engaged in meat exports from Kyrgyzstan. "Previously, meat exports were made to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan through the southern region, primarily as transit," Kerimaliev stated.
