Kyrgyz ambassador attends preparatory meeting of EP delegation for relations with Central Asia

Bishkek, Jan. 31, 2025. /Kabar/. Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the European Union Aidit Erkin took part in the preparatory meeting of the European Parliament delegation for relations with Central Asia, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan said.

During the meeting, key aspects of bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the European Union, prospects for parliamentary interaction, as well as upcoming events related to cooperation between Central Asia and the EU were discussed.

Ambassador Aidit Erkin emphasized that Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to dialogue with the EU, which is an important partner in promoting democratic reforms, economic growth and social stability. Constructive interaction between the parliaments of Kyrgyzstan and the EU helps strengthen mutual understanding and find effective solutions in a wide range of issues.

Aidit Erkin expressed confidence that the upcoming 17th meeting of the Interparliamentary Committee on Cooperation will be another step towards deepening the partnership between Kyrgyzstan and the EU, contributing to the strengthening of economic ties, the development of educational and environmental initiatives, and the expansion of humanitarian cooperation.
