Kyrgyz ambassador meets with director of International Institute for Central Asia

Bishkek, Jan. 31, 2025. /Kabar/. On January 30, 2025 Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Uzbekistan Duyshonkul Chotonov held a meeting with Director of the International Institute for Central Asia Javlon Vakhabov, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.

The parties noted the special significance of the Central Asian region, positive changes and processes taking place. Emphasizing that the region is at an active stage of its formation, they expressed opinions on how the countries of the region can contribute to peace, security and prosperity in the region as a whole. The role of the annually held Consultative Meetings of the Heads of Central Asian States was also emphasized.

Issues of Kyrgyz-Uzbek cooperation were also discussed during the meeting. It was emphasized with satisfaction that thanks to political will and practical steps, as well as sincere and trusting relations established between the heads of our countries, interstate ties have reached a qualitatively new level of comprehensive strategic partnership and continue to develop dynamically in the spirit of friendship, good-neighborliness and mutual support.

Plans for further cooperation between the expert-analytical circles of the two countries were also discussed.

At the end of the meeting, the sides agreed to hold joint conferences and round tables and other cultural events to intensify scientific and expert exchanges.
