Bishkek, Aug. 14, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Interior Minister Ulan Niyazbekov met with Turkish Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi as part of his working visit to Turkey. This was reported by the press service of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Internal Affairs.
During the meeting, issues of further developing cooperation between the internal affairs agencies of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, ensuring citizen security, and strengthening law and order were discussed.
Particular attention was paid to joint efforts to combat transnational organized crime, drug trafficking, cybercrime, and extremism. The parties also discussed the rapid exchange of information and the implementation of joint events.
Furthermore, the exchange of best practices and the implementation of modern technologies in the work of law enforcement agencies were discussed.
The meeting also addressed issues of ensuring the safety of citizens located in the two countries and strengthening operational cooperation on migration issues.
The parties expressed their willingness to further develop direct and operational cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries.
